I know nation states are a stupid concept, but we should really start respecting our own cultures while they last, from films to fashion designers and from philosophy to brands, for, among other reasons, right now as things stand, there is just not enough space or willingness in other countries to accommodate some ten billion wannabes who miss every subtle cultural reference in the art they claim to love.
And this overpopulation of culture-less/confused-us, with our instant appeal and its subsequent fixation to everything mostly European or Uncle Sam`s is diminishing our possibilities leading to an eruption of engineers and doctors and more recently business graduates, the best of them not even seen creating or curing anywhere near us, for this aping makes us doubt our own originality and capacity.
But when all is said and done, this fixation is hampering our, self-actualization.
